"Oh My God" by Adele falls flat on its raspberries. It does not start right away, catching its kindle at 11 seconds into the song. The opening staccato instrumental squeaks do not offer the track anything but a headache. They sound like constipated raspberries. Around 40 seconds, with the chorus, the song goes from run-of-the-mill to bold and confident. The vocalist is clear and present, and the slight Caribbean tinge adds spice. The chorus is classic, sophisticated, bold, and honestly, the best part of the song. But this doesn't last long. This song has its good features, but overall, it is not the finest track. The editing best exemplifies what is wrong with this track. In the end, there are two harmonizing vocals and a lot of other sounds going on at once. The sounds are meant to bring all the themes together, but they only produce mud. There is too much going on. The song should have started later and finished earlier.
