Music Album Review: “Results Take Time" by Symba 5 Boomboxes “Symba keeps his listeners on their toes: physically, the listen will move, and mentally, they will be sure to think.” REVIEW PRESENTED BY BTC'S RAP PROMPT BOOK 10 Prompts to Start Your Next Album Album  “Results Take Time”   Released:  September 15, 2022 Length:  52:33 Genre:  Hip Hop Rap RnB Soul Written by: Symba & DJ Drama Produced by: Symba & DJ Drama Sym, is that a Rolex?  ⌚ "Results take time." Fax.  📠 "This shit didn't happen overnight."      "Results Take Time" by Bay rapper, Symba is swag and consciousness. It's akin to one of the best times in Hip Hop, when beats were hard-hitting and lyrics scintillating, the early 90s. And in this millennium, where unfortunate deaths and the Soundcloud rapper's experimentations take out some prime lyricists — Cough.Ka.Takeoff.cough — "Results Take Time" is an album the Hip Hop community needed.      ...

Music Single Review: “Doing Life With Me” by Eric Church [Bomb! - 2 boomboxes]

Music Single Review: “Doing Life With Me” By Eric Church 2 Boomboxes " Music and the arts express oneself and are often inspired by a particular moment in their life." Single from album  “Heart & Soul”  Released:  April 20, 2021 Length:  3:31 Genre:  Country, Country Rock Written by:  Eric Church, Casey Beathard, and Jeffrey Steele Produced by:   EMI Nashville, BigEC, and Jay Joyce      Music and the arts express oneself and are often inspired by a particular moment in their life. The inhibited expression deserves respect; however, this does not automatically render a song good. "Doing Life With Me,"  by Eric Church , starts off lovely with a slow guitar; there is an expectation that this song will be bold, exciting, and entertaining. As you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, you shouldn't judge a piece by its introduction.       "Doing Life With Me" is dull, flat, and without pathos. The vocalist has a ...

Music Single Review: "West Coast"  By OneRepublic  - [Bomb! - 2 boomboxes]

Music Single Review: "West Coast" By OneRepublic 2 Boomboxes " There is hope when every track starts that it will be blazin'!"       Single Released: 2/25/2022 Length: 3:12 Genre: Pop Written by: Robin Fredriksson, Noel Zancanella,  Mattias Larsson, Justin Tranter, Brent Kutzle, Ryan Tedder Produced by: Noel Zancanella, Mattman & Robin,  John Nathaniel, Brent Kutzle, Ryan Tedder.       There is hope when every track starts that it will be blazin'! However, within ten seconds, "West Coast" by OneRepublic proves it is not. The vocals are nasally and whiny, as if the vocalist is crying about the west instead of reveling. There are no modulations in his voice, save for the end with a pathetic falsetto. Throughout, the vocals are the same boxy, congested flow: da-da-da-da. Then, the beat drops, and at this moment, the poppy 4x4 instrumental begins to stilt the vocalist even more; thus, flattening him and the track like a pancake. The hooks are ...

Music Single Review: "Missing One" By Jameson Rodgers - [Bomb! - 2 boomboxes]

Music Single Review: "Missing One" By Jameson Rodgers 2 Boomboxes   "Missing One"  by Jameson Rodgers commences like a royalty-free track..."     Single from album Bet You’re from a Small Town Released: September 17, 2021 Length: 3:23 Genre: Country Written by: Jameson Rodgers, Alysa Vanderheym, Brett Tyler, and Hunter Phelps Produced by: Chris Farren, and Jake Mitchell             "Missing One" by Jameson Rodgers commences like a royalty-free track, but soon, the song changes course when the vocalist comes in. It is a country song, but then, again, it changes once more when the drop arrives. Then, it is a pop song that ends as a hard-rock track. The lyrics seem to remain within the themes of country music save for the unmemorable hook. This song is bold in only that it goes through so many genres. However, this is distracting as I missed the song's purpose. The song is loud but not entertaining. It is defiant to any form,...

Music Single Review: "Tears In The Club" By FKA Twigs Ft. The Weeknd - [Bomb! - 2 boomboxes]

Music Single Review: "Tears In The Club" By FKA Twigs Ft. The Weeknd  2 Boomboxes  "Everything, vocals to instrumental, stood on the same boring keel. The song was background music, to which I forgot I was listening." Single from album  Caprisongs Released:  December 16, 2021 Length:  3:16 Genre : Pop, R&B Written by:  Tahliah Barnett, Abel Tesfaye, Ali Tamposi, Henry Walter, Alejandra Ghersi, Pablo Díaz-Reixa Produced by:   Cirkut, Arca, El Guincho      "Tears In The Club" by FKA Twigs ft. The Weeknd does not imbue feelings in me;  there is no compathy. The first sound you hear is a whisper about tears. Although the track's theme centers around tears, this introduction feels unfitting to the rest of the track, and it is instead a strange entryway. There is nothing special or bold about the "Tears In The Club." There are a few changes. There is a lack of a melodic body or a powerful hook. Everything, vocals to instrumental...
