Music Album Review: “Results Take Time" by Symba 5 Boomboxes “Symba keeps his listeners on their toes: physically, the listen will move, and mentally, they will be sure to think.” REVIEW PRESENTED BY BTC'S RAP PROMPT BOOK 10 Prompts to Start Your Next Album Album  “Results Take Time”   Released:  September 15, 2022 Length:  52:33 Genre:  Hip Hop Rap RnB Soul Written by: Symba & DJ Drama Produced by: Symba & DJ Drama Sym, is that a Rolex?  ⌚ "Results take time." Fax.  📠 "This shit didn't happen overnight."      "Results Take Time" by Bay rapper, Symba is swag and consciousness. It's akin to one of the best times in Hip Hop, when beats were hard-hitting and lyrics scintillating, the early 90s. And in this millennium, where unfortunate deaths and the Soundcloud rapper's experimentations take out some prime lyricists — Cough.Ka.Takeoff.cough — "Results Take Time" is an album the Hip Hop community needed.      In other

Music Single Review: "Yours" By Conan Gray [Blah! - 1 boombox]

Music Single Review: "Yours" By Conan Gray 1 Boombox " We have heard these chords before with this same progression and this same melody." Single from album  “Superache”  Released:  May 19, 2022 Length:  3:26 Genre:  Pop   Written by:  Conan Gray and Dan Nigro   Produced by:  Conan Gray and Dan Nigro        Oh! How disappointing! Although  Conan Gray 's " Yours" introduction -- the piano -- is melancholic, it doesn't move the listener. We have heard these chords before with this same progression and this same melody. And sadly for  Conan Gray , we have heard this type of song before -- too many times by different artists. "I want more..." Same! Yes, the vocals are loud, bold, and clear, but still, "I want more..." The piano is dull; the lyrics are trite. The mastering and productions -- and I'm sure the artist's fame -- is enough to render this track a good one, but I'm afraid I have to disagree. As the listener w

Music Single Review: "I’ve Gotten Good" By Priscilla Block 1 Boombox " Many times, no matter how hard you want, you can never make a track Blazin'! "       Single from album Welcome to the Block Party Released: February 22, 2022 Length: 2:48 Genre: Country Pop Written by: Phil Barton, Priscilla Block, Liz Rose Produced by: Robbie Artress, Ross Copperman,  Jake Curry, Justin Johnson           Many times, no matter how hard you want, you can never make a track Blazin'! For "I've Gotten Good" by Priscilla Block , I wanted it to be good, wishing "Damn! I've gotten good" was about the vocals, the lyrics, and the instrumental. However, this track falls flat from the onset. The beginning instrumental sounds like royalty-free music. When the vocals finally come in, she is about the instrumental.  Priscilla Block 's vocals and the instrumental are on the same loud level, with no modulation. The lyrics and the vocal melody are basic,

Music Single Review: "Good Day for Living" By Joe Nichols - [Blah! - 1 boombox]

Music Single Review: "Good Day for Living" By Joe Nichols 1 Boombox " A track that promotes good living leaves you forgetting that you once wanted to go out and skip."     Single from album Good Day for Living Released: February 11, 2022 Length: 3:11 Genre: Country Written by: Joe Nichols Produced by:  Quartz Hill        Although the production is well-done, the lyrics are uplifting, and the vocalist has a strong presence, "Good Day for Living" by Joe Nichols does not move me. The introduction instrumental is redolent of a royalty-free song. The whistles remind me of some commercial that makes you want to go out and skip. I guess this is appropriate as this song promotes that today "is a good day for living." The track does not have many ups and downs. The hook is on the same level as the verses. Hooks are supposed to hook the listener, but sadly, I nearly missed it. A track that promotes good living leaves you forgetting that you once
