It is a great joy when musicians produce a song and release an album. And nowadays, there's always a sufficient amount of aural entertainment, with independent musicians and producers creating music daily.
With all this musical excellence available, how can a listener find the right music before spending time and money? Before being disappointed? How can a listener know a song is right for them? Or if their favorite musician produced a bomb or banger?

Soundbox's goal is to connect music listeners with musicians, and musicians with listeners.
Soundbox has three focuses:
- Music Single or Album Reviews
- Musician interviews
- First Effect Music Podcast
These three segments will give the listener a complete impression of a song or album. And it will give the musician a new platform for their music to reach listeners.
For the music listener, our reviews are honest, interviews informative, and music podcasts entertaining. For musicians, the material is on brand and aligned with their message. Everything is professional and well-researched.
Soundbox rates each song or album 1-5 boomboxes (1-Blah!, 2-Bomb!, 3-Basic!, 4-Banger, and 5-Blazin'!.) With Soundbox, the listener will know why a song is Blah, Basic, or Blazin' and can decide from there.

Jonathan B. Toro, under the pen name Bolivar T. Caceres, writes, curates, and manages Soundbox Reviews.
His poetry appears in the chapbook "Outside My Garret Window" and in the literary magazines, ShortEdition and Ariel Charts. He writes for the quarterly film blog Film Studies 401, New York Positivity news blog, and the self-help blog Surviving 9 to 5.
Jonathan B. Toro also has seven years of experience working with independent rock and hip-hop musicians. He managed the live event company Live Events JBT, which provided musicians with videos and photos of concerts. He worked with hip-hop legends DJ Kevie Kev Rockwell, Grandwizzard Theodore, Curtis Blow, and more. Blank Wall Gallery in Greece featured his photo, "Women in Frame."
