Artist Interview: DJ Dizzy Storm Pop Artists [2022]

Let's Meet DJ Dizzy Storms - Artist Interview [2022]

Read Soundbox's Review on DJ Dizzy Storms first track, "Stay Frost."

1. Who are you & when did I start creating music?

My name is Dizzy Storms & I’m a DJ in training. I’ve been doing music for a very long time now & I wrote & produced my first song called Stay Frosty.

2. What made me become a musician?

I got into music when I was really little & I was passionate about it from watching & listening to a lot of music shows on TV & the local radio stations. Music has always been apart of me even in grade school, I took music classes & performed in a choir then in high school I got asked to perform in a fashion show.

3. Did I play a musical instrument growing up?

I got my first instrument that of a keyboard at 13 & took lessons later on when I was 18, At first I didn’t really enjoy it because the truth is that I wanted to really rock out & I wanted to play guitar but I grew to like it overtime because of how creative you can be with it.

4. What’s my favorite musical instrument?

As for musical instruments, I’ve always liked the electric guitar because it has a powerful energy & then there’s also the drums & because it has an amazing rhythm which you can feel & the piano really has a lot to offer when it comes to raw emotion & energy if you’re willing to harness it.

5. What about music makes me feel passionate?

Well for one its like a kind of magic, it can make you react emotionally or physically & just make you feel euphoric

6. What do I like to do in my spare time when I’m not making music?

I like to write stories & also do some weight training in my spare time, I also dig martial arts & computer science.

7. My creative process when writing a new song?

I like to write lyrics & it takes time to think about what you want to say cause every song tells a story in the words but it can be difficult when composing a song because you want to really match the melody.

8. Which musician would I like to work with & what do I like about their qualities?

I have a few musicians that I like & respect but I really like, Keala Settle because she gives a real stunning performance when she played the bearded lady in The Greatest Showman you could see that she wasn’t afraid to be who she was & I like that.

9. What’s my go to track?

I have a few songs but ultimately is This is Me from The Greatest Showman, I consider that my fight song because I’ve ben through so much growing up.

10. What venues would I like to play at one day?

As far as venues it’d be nice to play one but also play in a rock band & see a concert that’s the main goal & dream despite being half blind I’ll keep going strong.
