Music Album Review: “Results Take Time" by Symba 5 Boomboxes “Symba keeps his listeners on their toes: physically, the listen will move, and mentally, they will be sure to think.” REVIEW PRESENTED BY BTC'S RAP PROMPT BOOK 10 Prompts to Start Your Next Album Album  “Results Take Time”   Released:  September 15, 2022 Length:  52:33 Genre:  Hip Hop Rap RnB Soul Written by: Symba & DJ Drama Produced by: Symba & DJ Drama Sym, is that a Rolex?  ⌚ "Results take time." Fax.  📠 "This shit didn't happen overnight."      "Results Take Time" by Bay rapper, Symba is swag and consciousness. It's akin to one of the best times in Hip Hop, when beats were hard-hitting and lyrics scintillating, the early 90s. And in this millennium, where unfortunate deaths and the Soundcloud rapper's experimentations take out some prime lyricists — Cough.Ka.Takeoff.cough — "Results Take Time" is an album the Hip Hop community needed.      In other

Music Single Review:"Blue Collar" By Kevin McCoy Band 4 Boomboxes "“Blue Collar” by Kevin McCoy Band is an American track emphasizing the American working class." Single from album  Blue Collar Released:  11/1/2020 Length:  3:32   Genre:  Country Written by:  Kevin McCoy Band Produced by:  Kevin McCoy Band      “Blue Collar” by Kevin McCoy Band is an American track emphasizing the American working class. “Here’s to the red, white, and blue-collar,” frontman Keven McCoy sings a melodic chorus over a groovy country arrangement. But “ Blue Collar” is not wholly country music.       As America is a soup of cultures, “Blue Collar” is a well-made soup of genres, from Rock-n-Roll to R&B to a little Blues, and from the way the track bops along, a bit of Hip-hop. This blend is one reason that renders “Blue Collar” an entertaining track.       From its music video to the lyrics, its perspective on the working class and its accents on their specialness is why “Blue

Music Single Review: "I’ve Gotten Good" By Priscilla Block 1 Boombox " Many times, no matter how hard you want, you can never make a track Blazin'! "       Single from album Welcome to the Block Party Released: February 22, 2022 Length: 2:48 Genre: Country Pop Written by: Phil Barton, Priscilla Block, Liz Rose Produced by: Robbie Artress, Ross Copperman,  Jake Curry, Justin Johnson           Many times, no matter how hard you want, you can never make a track Blazin'! For "I've Gotten Good" by Priscilla Block , I wanted it to be good, wishing "Damn! I've gotten good" was about the vocals, the lyrics, and the instrumental. However, this track falls flat from the onset. The beginning instrumental sounds like royalty-free music. When the vocals finally come in, she is about the instrumental.  Priscilla Block 's vocals and the instrumental are on the same loud level, with no modulation. The lyrics and the vocal melody are basic,

Music Single Review: "West Coast" By OneRepublic 2 Boomboxes " There is hope when every track starts that it will be blazin'!"       Single Released: 2/25/2022 Length: 3:12 Genre: Pop Written by: Robin Fredriksson, Noel Zancanella,  Mattias Larsson, Justin Tranter, Brent Kutzle, Ryan Tedder Produced by: Noel Zancanella, Mattman & Robin,  John Nathaniel, Brent Kutzle, Ryan Tedder.       There is hope when every track starts that it will be blazin'! However, within ten seconds, "West Coast" by OneRepublic proves it is not. The vocals are nasally and whiny, as if the vocalist is crying about the west instead of reveling. There are no modulations in his voice, save for the end with a pathetic falsetto. Throughout, the vocals are the same boxy, congested flow: da-da-da-da. Then, the beat drops, and at this moment, the poppy 4x4 instrumental begins to stilt the vocalist even more; thus, flattening him and the track like a pancake. The hooks are t

Music Single Review: "Ugly" By Josie Dunne 5 Boomboxes "The track bumps and has a nice ride that you will hate when it ends."        Single from album Episode 7: Some time(s)   Released: December 31, 2021 Length: 1:58 Genre: Pop, Folk Written by: Josie Dunne Produced by:   Josie Dunne                 The way "Ugly" by Josie Dunne starts, I expect country music. But oh! I am wrong. "Ugly" is a pop track with a tinge of folk music. However, I like the misled, as it leads to bold vocals by  Josie Dunne . The track bumps and has a nice ride that you will hate when it ends. My head and body continue to move after the song finishes. Although the hook holds the " Ugly," it's a good and entertaining hook. The track is not too long or too short, giving it this punk feel. "Ugly" is so cool; I played it five times. I like the mingling of genres. The vocals and the engineering is impeccable. Great mastering job by the produc
